From September 2014 to October 2015 we worked on this project under the guidance of Polish actress, singer and composer Olena Leonenko-Głowacka. Well-known Ukrainian choreographers, circus artists, drama teachers, designers, musicians, vocal coaches and many others also worked together with our children.
The set was based on illustrations from Štěpán Zavřels book «Sole Retrovato». The plot unfolds on the other side of the sun, on a yet undiscovered planet, where a boy, Andriyko, goes on a long journey with his friends in search of the lost sun.
This project enabled our children to get to know a completely new world and also to develop greater self-confidence.
“Art is the best medicine for children who have experienced trauma. It gives them the opportunity to rehabilitate and reintegrate into society”,- said project coordinator Yuliia Fediv.
Our young actors were supported by Mykola Knyazhytsky, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Culture and Spirituality, Serhiy Taruta, MP of Ukraine and other honored guests, partners, parents, friends, and everyone who cares about the fate of these children.
