Centre «Our Kids» is a pioneer in using energy efficiency and geothermal technologies. We strive to protect the environment and raise awareness on the subject.
On 2 April 2015, a meeting took place at the Centre «Our Kids» with representatives of the Dnipro District State Administration and principals of general education schools of the Dnipro District.
The main purpose of the meeting was to share experiences and discuss the possibilities of implementing energy efficiency technologies in educational institutions of the Dnipro District.
Over the last few months, the Centre’s staff have conducted an in-depth economic analysis of the use of our geothermal system and assessed the efficiency of the use of geothermal technology. Additionally, we had numerous meetings with representatives of energy conservation organizations including the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation and the German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation GIZ.
During the meeting, we also gave the visitors a tour of the Centre, showed them the heating control system and the thermal area, made a presentation of economic data on the use of the geothermal system, and answered the questions from the visitors.
Following up on the meeting, a working group is expected to be set up to assess the possibility and viability of implementing the geothermal technology in educational institutions of the Dnipro District.
